Description

The Flying Beavers is an indie studio based in Montréal, Quebec. We help other indies ship games and stay sane while we work on our own weird experiments around generated content and community-centric games.

History

Garage game and first release

A few years ago, I gathered a team of talented developers and we made weird game prototypes and procedural concepts. We funded and self-published a mobile F2P game on a minimalist budget in 2018.

Collaboration and coaching

Funding game is not easy and we failed several times to bring the next project into production. In retrospect, many impostor syndrome and excessive honesty might have played a role. We learned from these mistakes and moved on to create a few Playable Ads using UnityTiny. During COVID we started to collaborate with amazing indie developers, working on Distraction Machine (released in 2023) and été (Summer 2024).

And now?

We are now working on a community-centric extraction game with dice and cards (codename HUNT).
